Important Dates

January - Begin year-end tax planning now!
January 17th - Your Federal and State Estimates are Due. Make sure it's at least 90 percent of 2011 total taxes or 100 (110% if AGI > $150k) % of 2010 total taxes. If not, the government will then request a pound of flesh.
January 20th - Sales Tax Returns Due
January 31st - W-2s and 1099s need to be given to employees and independent contractors, respectively.
February 29th - Federal, State copies of W-2s and 1099s need to be sent in. Don't be late, the government will fine you and it ain't cheap.
